After holding onto the footage for more than a quarter century, this morning Universal Studios Home Entertainment unleashed the very first public glimpse of Eric Stoltz on video as the original Marty McFly in a clip from the upcoming documentary, "Tales from the Future", contained on the Back to the Future 25th Anniversary Trilogy Blu-ray Disc and DVD sets arriving October 26, 2010.
CNN and The Hollywood Reporter were among a limited number of media outlets given the rights to the brief clip, which includes no sound. In the Director Robert Zemeckis, Producer Bob Gale, and Executive Producers Frank Marshall and Steven Spielberg revisit the events of late 1984 and early 1985 which famously led to Michael J. Fox replacing Eric Stoltz in the lead role.
