Il y a déjà aujourd’hui qu’une chance sur 4 pour qu’ils atteigne les world series, ils doivent d’abord battre Saint Louis puis le vainqueur de LA Dodgers vs NY Mets.

In 1993, Miami was awarded an expansion franchise called the Florida Marlins. The team's name was changed to the Miami Marlins in 2011. However, the Marlins play in the National League (the same league as the Cubs), so a meeting in the World Series between the two teams is not possible. Screenwriter Bob Gale, who co-wrote the Back to the Future Part II script, originally intended it as a joke: "Being a baseball fan, I thought, 'OK, let's come up with one of the most unlikely scenarios we can think of'", referencing both the Cubs' long championship drought, and the fact that Florida did not have a baseball team back in 1989. He also explained the October 21 prediction was based on the postseason schedule at the time, and thus would have probably been right had MLB not added the Division Series in 1994.

Les World Séries c’est tout simplement le Super Bowl du Baseball.
Le vainqueur de la National League contre le vainqueur de l’American League en 3 matchs gagnant. (les 2 ligues qui forment la Major League Baseball)

Pour les règles du Baseball en lui même je ne les connais pas assez pour expliquer.

Les Cubs se rapprochent de la victoire en battant Saint-Louis 3 maths à 1, mais ils reviennent de loin car ils n’étaient pas sur le podium de leur ligue et ont bénéficié d’une wild card.

Une wild card dans le sport c’est un peu une invitation (surtout pratiqué au Tennis).
Pour le cas de la post season de la MLB de ce que j’ai compris y’a 2 wild cards par ligue qui s’affrontent (un peu comme un match de barrage) pour accéder à la suite du tournoi.
